LED Strip Lights for Ceilings
LED strip lights are the simplest way to add a soft wash of light to a ceiling. Run along a cove, a raised ceiling edge or a recessed channel, the tape bounces light off the ceiling for indirect lighting that's easy on the eyes and works well alongside downlights.
What you need for a ceiling install
A typical ceiling run uses three parts. The COB LED tape gives a seamless, dot-free line of light, which matters when the tape is visible at an angle. An aluminium profile with an opal or frosted diffuser protects the tape and softens the light, and helps heat dissipation. A 24V LED driver powers the run: a 15W driver covers up to 2.4m, 30W up to 4.8m, 60W up to 9.6m and 100W up to 16m. Link leads and corner connectors take the run around corners and across gaps.
Which colour temperature for a ceiling?
For living rooms and bedrooms, 2700K or 3000K gives a warm, relaxed light. Kitchens and open-plan spaces usually suit 3000K, while 4000K works better in bathrooms, offices and commercial ceilings. All our COB tape is dimmable with a compatible driver and dimmer.
